Contribution of Parenting Parenting in Children's Character Building (Comparative Study of Duren and Sruwen Villages, Tengaran District, Semarang Regency)

Parents are the main role models for their children, guiding, directing good behavior to children so that they have behavior. The aims of this study were 1) analyze how parenting style used in formation children's character Duren Village and Sruwen Village; 2) To find out differences patterns 3) construction its relevance facing current millennial generation. researcher uses a mixed type research (mixed methodology). results are: parents is authoritative parenting, namely who apply democratic clear rules expectations, authoritarian where center, center everything. words/words, as well will parents, benchmark must be obeyed by child; shaping through very effective while caring more concerned with wishes supervised quite closely, always keep distance from children; give birth an assertive personality, which ideal type, not many people weak. Meanwhile, permissive can make feel unloved, isolated, even hated parents.
